# Correcting a balance

> Cash and bank accounts: step-by-step instructions with a screenshot.

## Steps

1. Open **Correct balance (Bakiyeyi düzelt)** and select the asset.
2. In **New balance (Yeni bakiye)**, enter the total quantity that should be in the cash account.
3. Check the current balance and calculated difference.
4. Enter the reason for the correction and save.

>
> In New balance, enter the resulting total balance, not the difference.
